Snap Circuits

If you haven't heard of these, you need to. A great learning toy that is fascinating and science filled!
Skye got Snap Circuits for Christmas and didn't have a clue what they were! We heard around the grape-vine that these were phenomenal toys so we checked them out on Amazon and saw they had great reviews.   We just broke them open this week and my kids are so hooked.  They play with it the first thing in the morning, and as often as they can. It's kind of like a glorified lego set but you learn about electronics and build fun projects along the way!  We've made burglar alarms, flying saucers, motion detectors, listened to different sound effects, doorbells, AM radios, learned how a lie detector works, and even games. And it's all so much easier and faster than following a lego set of directions. Here's a video of a light-activated fan with sound effects that Skye built:
